Donna Schink Obituary
Donna M. Schink (nee Reynolds), from Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, died peacefully at the age of 86 at New Perspective Senior Living in West Bend, Wisconsin on June 1, 2018.
Donna was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin on November 14, 1931 to Russell and Blanche (Janquart) Reynolds. She married the love of her life Donald G. Schink, from DePere, Wisconsin on July 22, 1949.
Together they raised six children: Jim Schink, Lynn (Glenn) Erickson, Carol (Mike) Murphy, Mike (Lorie) Schink, Sarah (Brian) Voller, and Wendy (Robin Weber) Schink. She was blessed to have eight grandchildren: Stacie (Tom) Gugel, Michelle (Brian) Donley, Timothy (Amanda) Murphy, Jennifer Schink, Melissa (Jeremy Burkey) Schink, Trent Erickson, Alex Voller and Danika Erickson. She was delighted to have six great-grandchildren: Tony (Kirsten Garza) Gugel, Amy Rose Pepper, Malachi Schink, Laurel Donley, Holden Murphy, Corbin Donley, and Raechel Burkey.
Donna had many interests that kept her very active. Early in her marriage she was a 4-H leader, PTA member/officer, and Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of Young Mother’s Homemakers, Zippers sewing group, Bunch for Lunch ladies, Breakfast group, Trinity Lutheran Church and Lake Ripley Country Club. In addition to golf, Donna enjoyed dancing, and traveling. She was a very avid Badger and Packer fan going to many home and away games.
Preceding her in death are: her husband Donald; sisters: Blanch Krueger and Jean Steeno; brothers: Russell, Alan, Bob, Jack and Fran Reynolds; granddaughter: Stacie Gugel and many other loved relatives and friends.
Special thanks to the wonderful care givers at Betty’s Harbor in New Perspective Senior Living for the love and care given to Donna. As she would say: “Luv Ya!” Deep appreciation to Compassionate Care Hospice for helping Donna and her daughter Carol on the journey of Donna’s death.
Visitation will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin from 9:30-11 am on Saturday, June 9th. Memorial service will follow at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be welcome at American Cancer Society and Alzheimer’s Association.
