Jessie Kiesling

Obituary of Jessie Ethel Kiesling

Jessie Ethel Kiesling, 100 years loved of Fort Atkinson, took the hand of our Lord in heaven and joined her best friend/love of her life Floyd on Sept. 8. She passed at Wellington Place with her family by her side.

Jessie was born April 18, 1918 Daughter of William & Willhemena (Granzow) Bruch.

She Married Floyd W. Kiesling on September 13, 1939. They were parted by his death in 1980 after 41 years of marriages. She will be reunited with him and laid to eternal rest on their 79th wedding anniversary.

Music and family were her life and lifelong passions.  She met Floyd through this love and they played beautiful music together until his death. Jessie taught and played accordion for many years & through her love of music, had a special connection with great nephew Gordan Hartmann.  Even at age 85, she gave her great granddaughter lessons and passed the love of music to another generation.

Jessie retired from employment at Nasco in 1981 after many years of service.

She also took great pleasure in her family time and activities.  The smiles she created by her generosity and baking for family warmed everyone’s hearts and tummies.

She enjoyed doing puzzles and had a bit of a competitive spirit when playing Yahtzee and Chinese checkers and was still winning those games well into her 90’s.

She was the last of her immediate family and preceded in death by sisters, Violet (Walter) Rostowfske, Grace (Roy) Keuler.

Brothers, Herbert (Ruth) Bruch, Edwin (Helen) Bruch, Norman (Pearl) Bruch and granddaughter LeAnn Hachtel.

She is survived by daughter Malinda Hachtel of Ft. Atkinson.

Three grandaughters, Lorie (George) Peterson of Onalaska, Marsha (Tim) Graffin of Edgerton,

Mary Jo (Brian) Mattke of Helenville,

One Grandson: Michael (Tami) Hachtel, Colinsville, TX

All of whom will miss the music, baking and puzzles
