Obituary of Janet Leah Knoll
Janet Leah (Kutz) Knoll passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord in her home on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at the age of 87. She was born to Lawrence T. Kutz and Ester M (Habel) Kutz on March 16, 1931 in Fort Atkinson, WI. She was made a child of God through baptism on April 5, 1931 and confirmed her faith on March 25, 1945 at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson, WI. She graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1949 and began work at First National Bank in Fort Atkinson.
Janet married the “Love of Her Life” Thomas Reynolds Knoll on September 27, 1952 at Weisbaden American Chapel in Wiesbaden Germany. She was blessed with two children, Jacquelyn Anne (Knoll) Cloute and Kurt Lawrence Knoll.
In her life she worked over 30 years as church secretary and was a lifelong member at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church. She also served 60 years on the Evening Altar Guild. Her interests were every Wisconsin sport’s team , reading and what she loved best was spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, sister and brother-in-law Charlotte (Kutz) and Lyle Wendorf.
Janet is survived by her children-Jacquelyn (James) Cloute, Kurt L. Knoll, grandchildren-Philip J. Cloute all of Fort Atkinson, Jennifer A. Cloute of Milwaukee, WI, Brother- Richard Kutz of Lakewood, CO, and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 4-6pm at Nitardy Funeral Home 1008 Madison Ave. Fort Atkinson, WI. Funeral will be on Monday, October 22, 2018 at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church 301 S. High St. Fort Atkinson, WI. Visitation begins at 10am until the Funeral Service at 11am. Burial will be held immediately following at Cold Spring Cemetery in Cold Spring, WI. Lunch will follow the burial in the fellowship hall at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church.
Those wishing to express their sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or school or Rainbow Hospice.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the loving care provided by Rainbow Hospice, her primary caregiver Patti Burnette, and all others that lovingly cared for her these past several months.
