My father, I know we had our differences but in the end, it was you that helped bring me into this world. I wish I wasn't writing this on your obituary, but instead telling it to your face. You always knew how to make me laugh but you could also drive me crazy!!! We have so many fun memories together and I think of them often. Everyone tells me I have your eyes, i got your cooking skills too!! I know you suffered a lot and I'm so glad you are no longer in pain. Watch down on me and especially my girls keep them safe! I will forever miss you....xoxo until we meet again. I love you and I always will.

Curt was my little brother though he grew bigger and stronger and had adventures and experiences different than mine; yet we always connected with visits and phone calls. The Pancreatic Cancer that took Curt so quickly has robbed so many people of the unique spirit that was Curt. I will always remember his sense of humor and his passion for the things he loved. His children and step children and soul mate Gina were his loves. Sadie, his black lab, loyally stayed at his side in the last few years when a series of medical problems often gave Curt long days of pain. On the good days, Curt could fix just about anything and enjoyed repurposing antique wood or tree limbs into useful and unique furniture. My brother loved horses, fishing, hunting, and nature. I will remember walks in the woods with Curt making animal calls and waiting for their reply. He was the one I called when I got lost somehow trying to come back from the airport in Milwaukee. By just mentioning a few landmarks, Curt got me back on track. Every summer when I came to visit, Curt had the yard looking great and beautiful hanging plants adorned the porch. We planted trees together when his bad back would let him. We showed our beloved horses together as kids. My favorite photo of us was Curt on Dan, Me on Cody, and Ed on Joker. Those were good times. Our parents created in us a good work ethic through those horses by chores, stall cleaning, and baling hay that created the reliable hard working adults we became, and in that manner Curt always gave his all to any job or project he valued. Mom once said that Curt had 9 lives, and I reminded her he had more like 15, and those were just the adventures we knew about. My brother lived his life to the fullest in the years his health allowed. In the last years he said over and over again that he would like to have just one day without pain. Now he has no pain. The Peace that came over his face when he passed was profound. Heaven has one fun and crazy character keeping things interesting. I will miss you, my dear little brother. I will never forget you.
You know how much I love you.

My deepest sympathies...
Curt's passing away was so sudden, much too young to leave. Curt will be missed dearly as he was my sister Gina's Fiancee and in our family for 15 years. He was always the guy grilling at parties, loved talking about cooking, and if he wasn't the guy grilling he was gonna tell you what you were doing wrong! He was a good man, loved my sister so much. He got her to love fishing and the outdoors, camping too.
He will always be remembered. Rest In Peace Curt....
