Obituary of Elizabeth Clara Sigmund

Elizabeth Clara Sigmund, 96, of Rome, Wisconsin passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Alden Estates. 

Elizabeth was born in Berlin, Germany on February 23, 1925.  She wed her husband Alex and then moved to Rome, Wisconsin where they lived for 62 years.  Elizabeth worked at Moe Light, Thomas Industries, and Moore Seafood. 

She loved her dog, cats, and flowers.

Elizabeth is survived by her children, Elizabeth “Betty” (Noel Niehausen) Hulstein of Fort Atkinson, Frank (Kathy) Sigmund of Fort Atkinson, Mary Ann (Greg Kierleber) Sigmund of South Dakota, Mickey (Laurie) Sigmund of Watertown; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents and parents; husband; daughter; nieces and nephews; son-in-law; and many other relatives.

Per Elizabeth’s wishes there are no public funeral services scheduled.

The family would like to give special thanks to Brian and Kendra for the calls that they gave us and the rest of the Alden’s Estate and Rainbow Hospice Staffs for their exceptional care.
