Obituary of Jane Derus

Jane Thelma Derus, 72, of Fort Atkinson passed away unexpectedly at her home.

Jane was born on March 12, 1949 in Oxford, Wisconsin to Walter and Virginia Gerber.  She graduated from Stoughton High School.  Jane worked as the receptionist at LSM for 30 years before retiring.  On March 23, 1995 Jane married Richard Derus in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. 

Jane enjoyed quilting and card making.  She was a lifetime member at the Fort Atkinson VFW Post. 1879.

Jane is survived by her husband, Richard Derus; son, Dan Woodman; and sisters, Ellen McClure and Donna Gerber. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Virginia Gerber; and brother, Gary W. Gerber.

A memorial service will take place at 12PM on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at the American Legion Dugout in Fort Atkinson.
