Obituary of Tod Donkle

Tod DONKLE , age 62, of Roscoe, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at his home. Tod was born in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin on January 17, 1949, the son of Shelburn Orville Jr and Lorraine Dorothy (Bonk) Donkle. He graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1966 and attended business college in Madison. On July 26, 1990, Tod married Mary Hummel. He was a kind, caring and devoted husband, who for the past 17 years has been the care taker for his wife. He enjoyed golfing and taking care of his lawn. Surviving are: Wife: Mary Donkle, Roscoe, IL, Mother: Lorraine Donkle, Wauwatosa, WI, Sister: Judy (Barry) Velleman, Wauwatosa, WI, Mother-in-Law: Lynn Arnold, IL, Sisters-in-Law: Gail and Christine Hummel Brothers-in-law: Dennis and Jerry Hummel, Eleven Nieces and Nephews and Eleven Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews, Aunt: Jean Hummel and other relatives and friends. Tod was preceded in death by his father Shelburn "Sod" Donkle, step-mother Jan Donkle, sister Sandra (Terry) Slates, and father-in-law John Hummel. Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 14, 2011, at 12:00PM at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 302 Merchants Ave.,Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin with Father Charles Payson officiating. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery, in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 10:30AM on Monday at the church until the services.
