Obituary of Esther E Thayer

Esther E THAYER, age 82, of Whitewater, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2010, at her home. Esther was born in Williamstown, Wisconsin in Dodge County on August 6, 1928, the daughter of Otto and Violet (Schwantz) Kannass. She married Russell "Red" Thayer, who preceded her in death. Esther helped her husband work the farm and also worked as a nurses aid. She was a member of the LaGrange Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the Whitewater American Legion Auxiliary where she held many offices over the years. �Surviving are: Sister-in-Law: Vivian Kannass, Hartford, WI. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Esther was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Russell "Red" Thayer, and two brothers: Ervin and Ray Kannass. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 11, 2010, at 11:00AM at the Nitardy Funeral Home Chapel, Whitewater, Wisconsin with Pastor Kim Brumm officiating. Burial will be in the Round Prairie Cemetery , in Town of LaGrange, Wisconsin. Friends may call after 9AM on Saturday at the funeral home until the services.
