Obituary of Lloyd David Emrick

Lloyd David EMRICK, age 86, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at Countryside Home, in Jefferson, WI. Lloyd was born in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin on December 29, 1923, the son of Carl and Eva (Nimmo) Emrick. He graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1941. On November 9, 1946, Lloyd married Marian W. Engsberg at the Lake Mills Moravian Church in Lake Mills. Lloyd worked for Creamery Package Company from 1942 until 1950. He then worked as a project engineer for James Manufacturing, later known as Butler Manufacturing and J-Star, for 37 years, retiring in 1988. Lloyd was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fort Atkinson. He had been a member of the Masonic Temple Lodge #9 for over 50 years, a member of Fort Atkinson City Band for 39 years; playing Saxophone and a member of the Fort Atkinson Hospital Auxiliary. Surviving are: Wife: Marian Emrick, Fort Atkinson, WI, Two Sons: David (Marcia) Emrick, Edgerton, WI, and Tom (Bonnie) Emrick, Fort Atkinson, WI, Grandchildren: Matthew (Leigh) Emrick, Lake Mills, WI, Kara Emrick, Fort Atkinson, WI, and Luke (Laura) Emrick, Fort Atkinson, WI, Great-Grandchildren: Mason and Ellison Emrick and Noah and Abigail Frame, and a Brother: Robert (Bonnie) Emrick, Stevens Point, WI. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donald Emrick. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 19, 2010, at 2:00PM at the First United Methodist Church, Fort Atkinson with Rev. John W. Wells officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Friends may call after Noon on Friday at the church until the services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the First United Methodist Church, Fort Atkinson or to the American Cancer Society.
