Obituary of Lorraine T. Roberts

Lorraine T Roberts of Fort Atkinson, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at her home, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on February 16, 1930 in Fort Atkinson. Daughter of the late La Rue and Helen (Steinhour) Damuth. Former wife of Kenneth Topel and the widow of Lyle Roberts. She was employed at K-Mart in Fort Atkinson, Fort Health Care Center and most recently as Treasurer of the Lakeview Cemetery. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy (John) Burton of Eagle, Karen Topel of Fort Atkinson; two sons, Michael (Kathy) Topel of Fort Atkinson, Daniel Roberts of Fort Atkinson; eight grandchildren, Eric and Nicole Burton, Crystal (Burton) DeLeon, Samantha, Mariah and Sean Topel, Brandon Topel and Dayna Roberts; three great-grandchildren, Jadin, Bodie and Ashton; two sisters, Virginia Hegg and Betty (Robert) Anton; two sister-in-laws, Jan Stevens and Carol Harding of Florida, special niece Holly Anton, other nieces and nephews along with great-nieces and nephews and many other friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, Linda, her husband, Lyle, sister, Gladys Fairchild, brother, Owen Damuth, brothers-in-law, Charles Fairchild, George Flemett and Richard Hegg, and sister-in-law, Bonnie Damuth Schumacher. Visitation to be held at Nitardy Funeral Home on Saturday, October 17, 2009 from 3-6 pm with a celebration of her life to follow at her home. Private family burial at Lakeview cemetery. A special thanks also to Rhonda Leikness and the staff at Rainbow Hospice, Inc of Jefferson, Dr. Williams of Fort Health Care, and Jean McDermott. Going Home Go rest now precious one, your life in eternity has just begun. Now you can walk, your legs are brand new. All of heaven is now in your view. Look all around, it�s all in your sight, there will never be another dark night. Flowers and jewels, the street of pure gold, and all of the things that have been told. I can just imagine the smile on your face, as you walk all around in that beautiful place. Greeting our loved ones as you walk along, while singing heaven�s most beautiful song. This is so very hard, but it will all be okay, it isn�t goodbye, we�ll see you one day. We love you and we�ll miss you and at times it will be tough, but as with everything, God�s grace will be enough.
